Roman D I love Colin's signature musical style of the swirly, fractal meandering dance between serenity and rage. The kind of duality a lot of people will resonate with (often without fully knowing why they do) is conveyed masterfully here - and I think that's the mark of a great artist.
Oblaky

Oblaky Goes right in there. That soft, well-protected, inaccessible-to-others place where you're at your truest. Music that speaks to that genuine core. Incredible. Absolutely unique. Favorite track: Passage.

joff curtoys King Colin's latest offering is sensational. Much more inviting, but no less challenging than his previous works. I have to say that my appreciation of his work was vastly improved by seeing him play live. Wonderful stuff.

Jason Boyd Colin Stetson doing only what Colin Stetson can do. There is no one else in the world who is close to replicating him.
This album is another step in his musical journey, incorporating more collaborations and effects, but still highlighting Stetson's unique playing technique.

vrpnblstr Most solid record from Colin as of now.
Loved all his stuff as his song is so unique but also maybe as a result a bit singular (in the sense that isnt exactly varied) but he found ways to impress and surprise me further on this LP, so yeah, really heckin great album, loved it. Favorite track: The Lighthouse V.

it isn’t a thing to think, he said just a gazing, the surface and the light, the endless unseen possibilities and oh, aren’t we so absolutely here now! the water gently heaving, or frozen underfoot of all the days, these days shine like fireflies in the dark a lighthouse beam through fog Desert flowers in bloom As disparate oases and then there was the gardener green thumb and a boon to blossoms Hers alone, the forge and the fire the rain to things that grow but where is she now? our gardens all writhen and greyed her secrets lost to days glimpsed but not grasped no map to show the way And so we watch the sails unfurl bare and born to the wind and sun gazing out beyond the brake the surface and the light all the days shone brightly then when we were that what wept for the sea Written by Colin Stetson Spoken by Iarla O’Lionaird
